Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s (D-N.Y.) staff sent out a memo to House Democratic offices on Monday asking for social media backup after their boss pulled a fire alarm over the weekend. The strategy didn’t go as planned.
Within minutes, reporters were posting the contents of the guidance. Bowman’s staff, which had emailed the talking points as a Google Doc, quickly had to curtail access to the document due to leaks.
