News: Democrats on the Senate Agriculture Committee are making a renewed push this week to bolster their representation on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, according to three people familiar with the talks.
Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) is leading Democrats in pushing for language in crypto market structure legislation that would strengthen the statutory requirement that the CFTC include minority members, rather than just members of the president’s party.
Booker raised this priority with White House crypto czar David Sacks and House Agriculture Committee Chair John Boozman (R-Ark.) during a phone call earlier this week, according to a person familiar with the conversation.
