Mike Crapo on his new gavel, Trump’s tax proposals

Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) told us President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign tax cut pledges have “got to be in the mix” next year and that there will be a lot of ideas to consider in 2025 beyond the expiring 2017 tax cuts.

The Idaho Republican is about to take the Senate Finance Committee gavel for the first time next year. Crapo will be a key player in the GOP’s push to pass a big tax bill early in 2025. Let’s get into more of what Crapo told us in some of his first public comments since the election.
