In Washington and around the country, Congress is on edge after the former speaker of the Minnesota House and her husband were murdered in what police are calling a politically motivated assassination.
Several House Democrats – including Reps. Greg Landsman (D-Ohio), Hillary Scholten (D-Mich.) and Veronica Escobar (D-Texas) – have said that their names were found on a list or in evidence connected to Vance Boelter, the alleged perpetrator of the Minnesota murders. Sen. Elissa Slotkin’s (D-Mich.) name was also among those mentioned.
