The House Ethics Committee made four moves today. Let’s run them down.
– The secretive panel reauthorized the special investigative subcommittee probing Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Fla.). The Office of Congressional Conduct investigated an earmark she got for a Florida non-profit. The earmark might’ve gone to a for-profit entity. Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-N.Y.), who was recently tapped to be Homeland Security Committee chair, will chair the subcommittee.
