Mike Johnson talks FY2025 funding, reconciliation and more

DORAL, Fla. — Speaker Mike Johnson said he expects House and Senate appropriators to come up with a topline spending number for the rest of the fiscal year “soon.”

Let’s remember that government funding runs out in 44 days. Back in December, when Johnson decided to extend funding until March, the speaker said he hoped to have FY 2025 bills passed well before the deadline.
