News: GOP members of the House Rules Committee had a contentious 90-minute meeting this morning with Speaker Mike Johnson about the chamber’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein situation, according to multiple sources familiar with the discussion.

The House Rules Committee is one of the only venues where the minority can regularly offer amendments that could change the course of the floor debate on a bill or resolution.
