Rep. McCormick criticizes GAIN AI

An opponent to the GAIN AI Act emerges.

Rep. Rich McCormick (R-Ga.) called Sen. Jim Banks’ (R-Ind.) “America First” proposal to prioritize U.S. customers of artificial intelligence chips the equivalent of the Biden era’s “diffusion rule 2.0.”

After meeting with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang last week, today McCormick echoed the warning from Nvidia that GAIN AI, under consideration for the annual defense bill, would threaten global American leadership of AI.
