A group of eight GOP senators is praising President Donald Trump for keeping Nvidia’s advanced artificial intelligence chips out of China.
The senators wrote in a letter to Trump Thursday that they “applaud” the president’s “foresight and wisdom” in not allowing Beijing’s access to the Blackwell chips. The letter highlights how U.S. chipmakers like Nvidia still have an uphill battle in convincing Washington they should be allowed to dominate the Chinese market.
