Senate Homeland Security Committee Chair Rand Paul (R-Ky.) dismissed the bipartisan effort to keep a critical cyber law from lapsing at midnight as a “bunch of fake outrage.”
Paul told us he will continue to block reauthorization of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act unless it includes “First Amendment protections.” Paul’s remarks won’t bring any relief to tech companies and the Trump administration, which have been sounding the alarm about the law expiring tonight.
