Democrats defeat Garland inherent contempt resolution with some GOP help

In the midst of a horrific, no good, very bad week for Democrats, they did get two wins today — defeating both an inherent contempt resolution against Attorney General Merrick Garland and the FY2025 Legislative Branch spending bill. Only the second one was a real loss for GOP leaders, though.
