Immigration advocates have been urging the Biden Administration to push for an overhaul of the nation’s immigration laws. While many of the proposals are popular throughout the country, that effort has stalled in Congress. Immigration legislation passed the House, but it doesn’t have a clear pathway in the Senate. In addition to news of the day, Punchbowl News founders Anna Palmer and Jake Sherman will host a virtual interview with Sen. Dick Durbin, who has been leading the effort in the Senate. They will discuss the state of play and what concrete changes he thinks could happen this year.
