McHenry, Waters meet with Schumer to pitch stablecoin reform

News: The two top lawmakers on the House Financial Services Committee met with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer this afternoon to discuss stablecoin reform.

We spotted Reps. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) enter the majority leader’s office shortly after the Japanese prime minister’s joint address to Congress this afternoon. The House lawmakers pitched Schumer on their unreleased, still-to-be-finalized stablecoin package, according to a source familiar with the meeting.
