Most top Hill staffers doubt AI legislation will happen this year

The majority of top Hill staffers (65%) say it's unlikely Congress will pass legislation to regulate artificial intelligence this year despite growing concern over the risks associated with the new technology.

Just 13% of congressional staffers who responded to our survey, The Canvass Capitol Hill, thought lawmakers will pass AI legislation this year. The survey was conducted Sept. 5-22 in partnership with LSG.
