Senate week shortened due to Feinstein funeral
The Senate will only be in session for two days this week so that senators can attend the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-Calif.) funeral in San Francisco on Thursday.
Senators are scheduled to return to the Capitol at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to hold a procedural vote on a State Department nominee. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has also teed up votes on judicial nominees.
