Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong knows lawmakers are nervous about crypto’s campaign finance arsenal.

Or at least, that’s what we told him during an interview this week. Armstrong is one of a handful of crypto executives whose company has helped bankroll the Fairshake super PAC network.

A lot has been written about Fairshake’s influence. But we don’t often get a chance to press someone in Armstrong’s position on the role that this goliath is playing in elections and how that translates to legislation.

“There's a lot of political will to get this done, and that's coming from a variety of things,” Armstrong said.
