  • Revenue Operations Manager

    Job Summary: Punchbowl News is seeking an experienced Revenue Operations Manager to optimize both our direct ads and subscriptions sales processes, manage our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) infrastructure, and drive operational excellence across our revenue teams. This role is critical to scaling our sales teams and ensuring seamless coordination between our Ad Sales, Subscription Sales, Marketing, Product, Events, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will serve as the HubSpot CRM expert and process architect, building the reporting and operational infrastructure that powers our revenue growth.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary owner and administrator of our HubSpot CRM, ensuring data integrity, optimal configuration, and maximum adoption across teams.
    • Design, implement, and maintain CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) workflows to streamline deal execution and approval processes.
    • Build, maintain, and present comprehensive dashboards and insightful reports that provide actionable insights into sales performance, pipeline health, and forecasting accuracy.
    • Develop and present custom reporting solutions for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support data-driven decision making.
    • Design, document, and train teams to execute scalable sales processes that support business growth while maintaining quality and compliance.
    • Identify bottlenecks in the sales cycle and implement solutions to improve conversion rates and deal velocity.
    • Train sales team members on CRM best practices, new tools, and process changes.
    • Continuously evaluate and optimize our sales technology stack to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Create and maintain sales playbooks, training materials, and best practice documentation.
    • Accurately document processes and maintain detailed system documentation in a timely manner.

     

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of direct experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or a similar role.
    • Proven expertise with CRMs (ideally HubSpot), including advanced features like workflows, custom properties, and reporting.
    • Hands-on experience implementing and managing CPQ tools (e.g., HubSpot Commerce, DealHub, Salesforce CPQ, or similar).
    • Strong track record of building reports and dashboards that drive business decisions.
    • Advanced proficiency in CRM administration and data management.
    • Expert-level skills in data analysis and visualization.
    • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a process-oriented mindset.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across departments and influence without direct authority.
    • Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and operational excellence.
    • Experience in a high-growth startup or SaaS environment is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with additional tools in the sales tech stack (e.g., Chargebee – or other subscription management tools, Outreach, Gong – or other Sales call tracking software, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, etc) is a plus.

     

    Compensation & Benefits

    The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. Final compensation will be determined based on the role’s scope, as well as the candidate’s experience and relevant skills.

    Job Summary: Punchbowl News is looking for an experienced Deputy Policy Editorto join our growing editorial team. Our policy beats include, finance, tax, tech and defense with a plan to expand into more areas. The best person for this job has extensive editing experience, expert knowledge of how politics shapes policy outcomes on Capitol Hill and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, newsletter-first newsroom.

     

    We’re looking for someone with at least three years of experience editing Capitol Hill and Washington policy coverage. In addition, the best candidate will have prior Capitol Hill reporting and newsletter experience.

     

    The top candidate is highly skilled at editing a range of items, from spot news to enterprise pieces, and will be adept at ensuring it is delivered in our signature Punchbowl News writing and reporting style. This is a hugely important role in our newsroom and the best candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented and self-starting with an ability to quickly and concisely produce clean copy on deadline.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the Policy Editor and a team of high-energy reporters as they break news across the Capitol in key policy areas.
    • Manage and coordinate daily policy coverage for our flagship newsletters
    • Manage and coordinate coverage for our weekly policy newsletters.
    • Work closely with our managing editor and policy editor to ensure editorial goals are being met each week
    • Collaborate across the newsroom, leading editorial involvement in our events and special projects as needed
    • Play a key role in shaping our long-term editorial expansion

     

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of editing experience; 6+ years of editorial experience overall
    • Strong familiarity with Punchbowl News and its reporting style: informative yet punchy, authoritative yet conversational
    • Firm grasp of AP style
    • Self-starter, highly organized

    Compensation & Benefits:

    The salary for this role is in the range of $130,000 – $160,000. Final compensation will be based on scope, work experience, and relevant skills.

    Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential to this role, as the Associate will interact directly with potential subscribers on a daily basis to initiate evaluations of Punchbowl News’ subscriptions services.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze and research potential customers to uncover insights that drive effective and personalized outreach.
    • Build relationships with prospective customers through inbound responses and proactive outbound efforts, including cold calls and emails.
    • Secure meetings with key decision-makers by delivering tailored, compelling messaging across multiple channels.
    • Support Subscription Sales Team in providing an exceptional end-to-end customer experience during evaluations.
    • Accurately document all customer interactions in HubSpot in a timely manner and keep internal stakeholders informed of relevant updates and progress.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing, Events, and Product teams as necessary to support broader company initiatives and ensure a seamless customer experience.

     

    Qualifications

    • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
