A bipartisan immigration bill circulating in the House has an unusual supporter: Freedom Caucus member Marlin Stutzman (R-Ind.).
Stutzman is one of the original 20 cosponsors of the DIGNITY Act, which would provide a pathway to legal status for long-term undocumented immigrants living and working in the United States. The bill would also force DHS to increase physical barriers and technology at the border to prevent illegal crossings. Stutzman said protecting the workforce is important for his district.
