Senate talks faltering on noms, approps

Things seem to be at risk of unraveling in the Senate.

With senators eager to skip town for the August recess, there’s little progress on a nominations deal while a long-stalled appropriations package is going nowhere fast.

At this time, rank-and-file senators aren’t being told what’s next other than that GOP leaders plan to keep moving forward on nomination votes and appropriations talks.
