Ways and Means Committee members are meeting with Mexico’s top economic official this week to launch talks ahead of a crucial 2026 trade deadline.
The panel is holding a bipartisan roundtable Wednesday afternoon with Mexico’s Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, according to three people familiar with the plans. The closed-door discussion is expected to focus on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, known as USMCA.
