News: A senior Republican on the Senate Banking Committee said he plans to meet with Federal Housing Finance Director Bill Pulte to discuss the regulator’s role in the Trump administration’s campaign against top officials at the Federal Reserve.
Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.), a senior member of the Senate Banking Committee, told us he would meet with Pulte in the coming weeks to discuss his approach, which has raised eyebrows across Washington for weeks now.
“He's a very capable individual,” Rounds said. “But I don't understand some of the actions that have been taken more recently.”
