Crypto touches gloves with Senate

Washington’s top leaders in crypto policy spent their Wednesday in the Senate. And by most accounts, Capitol Hill is on track to restart real conversations about the future of market structure regulation.

Plenty of lawmakers and staff projected optimism coming out of separate sit-downs between Republicans, Democrats and crypto executives. But serious obstacles remain to getting this package done before the end of the year.

“We didn’t hear from either side that we don’t want to get to yes,” Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) said.
