The chair of a large bloc of House conservatives is leading the push for a new health care plan in the chamber.
Rep. August Pfluger (R-Texas) is introducing the House version of Sen. Rick Scott’s (R-Fla.) More Affordable Care Act. Pfluger leads the Republican Study Committee, so the bill could see major support from the GOP rank-and-file.
Speaker Mike Johnson said this week that he will finalize a health care package by Monday or Tuesday and put it on the floor by the end of December. That means now is the time for Republicans to get their ideas in front of House GOP leaders.
