Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told senators behind closed doors Tuesday he would not release footage of the Sept. 2 “double tap” boat strike in the Caribbean, citing classification concerns.
Senators were not shown footage of the strike against an alleged drug boat during their closed-door session with Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. That move created a sharp divide among lawmakers, many of whom would still like to see the video.
