We’re excited to share a product we’ve been working on for the past few months: our new campaign-finance database.
The first version is now live. Our goal is to create a user-friendly, digestible way to navigate the vast trove of data available from the Federal Election Commission.
Right now, the database includes quarterly reports for House and Senate candidates. We’re also building out pages for each race that will combine fundraising and spending from both candidates and outside groups.
The world of campaign finance is becoming increasingly important. But it has never been more complicated. We hope this tool helps pull back the curtain. Which candidate raised the most money? Who spent the most on mailers? Who has more super PAC help?
