Defense: Air Force all in on E-7

The Air Force is now officially seeking $1.5 billion for a surveillance plane it had sought to kill mere weeks ago.

Air Force Secretary Troy Meink told lawmakers the military branch had requested the money to fund the E-7 Wedgetail program in FY2027 through a budget amendment that’s still working its way through the Trump administration.
