Top Hill Republicans on Monday said they’re hopeful that a rare-earth minerals agreement between the United States and Ukraine could be salvaged even after President Donald Trump’s Oval Office tussle on Friday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), a longtime Ukraine supporter, wrote on X that he spoke with Andrii Yermak, Zelensky’s chief of staff. Fitzpatrick said the minerals deal, which was supposed to be ratified on Friday, “will be signed in short order.”
