Senate GOP presses Musk on DOGE cuts, rescissions

Senate Republicans told mega-billionaire Elon Musk they want to vote to codify the spending cuts that DOGE is seeking to enact, according to multiple GOP senators who attended a closed-door lunch with Musk.

The meeting came as several Republicans have raised concerns about Musk’s operation, including a lack of coordination with Cabinet secretaries and department heads. There’s also been a ton of political backlash that GOP lawmakers are getting back home. We’re told that Musk responded to these concerns by giving out his personal cell phone number.
