 BY JOHN BRESNAHAN, ANNA PALMER AND JAKE SHERMAN  Breaking news: The White House will announce today whether it will nominate Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell for a second term, according to multiple sources involved in the decision making process. The decision is largely seen as being between Powell and Lael Brainard, an economist who serves on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Brainard also served in the Obama administration.    |
