Department of Homeland Security leaders are making the case directly to top congressional Republicans about why they need $1 billion for White House ballroom security and other projects.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin and USSS Director Sean Curran say in a new letter sent Wednesday to top Republicans that the money will go toward “urgent needs in response to the unprecedented increase in threats against the [p]resident and other public officials.”
