Wood set to jump into Maine Senate race

New: Democrat Jordan Wood, the former chief of staff for Rep. Katie Porter (D-Calif.) and former vice president of End Citizens United, is preparing to launch a Senate bid against Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) in the coming week, according to multiple sources.

Wood is the first major candidate to jump into the Democratic primary in one of the party’s top Senate flip opportunities in 2026. National Democrats are trying to convince Maine Democratic Gov. Janet Mills to enter the race.
