Defense: Dems hold next steps close on war powers

A series of Iran war powers resolutions will be ready for action first thing next week. But Senate Democrats aren’t saying when they’ll pull the trigger on their strategy to hold the floor hostage in exchange for more public information on the war.

Conversations about timing are ongoing with leadership, said Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), one of the six Democrats vowing to force repeated votes over the Iran campaign unless Republicans convene committee hearings on the operation.
