Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will testify before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday, according to multiple sources familiar with the planning.
Hegseth is expected to be joined by Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Dan Caine, one day after the pair testifies before the House Armed Services Committee. The hearing has not been publicly noticed. The two will tout the Pentagon’s $1.5 trillion FY2027 budget request. The state of the Iran war will also certainly be on the agenda.
