Gingrich and McCarthy brief House GOP candidates on final sprint

With three weeks until Election Day, House Republicans turned to a pair of men who know a little something about winning (and losing) elections: former GOP speakers Kevin McCarthy and Newt Gingrich.

NRCC Chair Richard Hudson hosted a call for Republican candidates Sunday evening with McCarthy and Gingrich. The two offered guidance to candidates about how they should be running their campaigns in the final stretch, according to sources familiar with the call.
