Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) won’t push for a vote on credit card swipe fee legislation in a Senate Agriculture Committee markup scheduled for Thursday, according to a source familiar with the senator’s plans.
The news follows our scoop earlier today that Senate Agriculture Committee Chair John Boozman (R-Ark.) was opposed to holding a vote on the amendment offered by Sens. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), Peter Welch (D-Vt.) and Marshall. Boozman was prepared to table the amendment if the Kansas Republican tried to bring it up for a vote.
