Bob Casey on outbound investment’s lame-duck chances

Another year-end push to curtail U.S. investment in China is brewing. Whether it can overcome the same headwinds it faced a year ago? That’s another question.

But supporters of clamping down on these outbound investments into China are seeing signs of life. Speaker Mike Johnson named the reform as a lame-duck goal at the New York Stock Exchange yesterday. Over in the Senate, we caught up with one of the restrictions’ lead proponents, Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.). It’s also become a notable issue in his reelection race.
