CBC backs Kristin Johnson for Treasury job, plus GOP targets IRS leakers

First in The Vault: The Congressional Black Caucus chair urged the White House to nominate CFTC Commissioner Kristin Johnson to be Treasury’s next assistant secretary for financial institutions.

Rep. Steven Horsford (D-Nev.) argued Black people have long been underrepresented in senior Treasury roles and that Johnson's nomination could help address that issue. “Developing fair and equitable economic policy requires diverse leaders,” he wrote.
