The Senate rejected — for a third time — the House-passed bill to fund the federal government until Nov. 21, with no additional Democrats backing the GOP-drafted stopgap measure.
The vote was 55-45, with Sens. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Angus King (I-Maine) joining all Republicans except Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). It needed 60 votes.
