FDIC’s Travis Hill says regulators must do ‘a lot more’ on crypto

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. vice chair told an audience this afternoon that federal bank regulators need to be doing “a lot more” when it comes to crypto policy in the financial system.

Take this as a preview of a future Republican administration. FDIC Vice Chair Travis Hill, a Republican appointee and former Senate Banking Committee staffer, is a strong contender to be the next chair of the agency if we have a GOP White House in 2025 or beyond.
