House leadership leaving tax floor vote in limbo

The House Republican leadership has not yet decided whether to put the bipartisan, bicameral tax deal on the floor this week, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

Speaker Mike Johnson’s team is holding its plans very close to the vest. Johnson spoke to New York and California Republicans late last week to try to assuage their concerns about the package’s silence on raising the state and local tax deduction.
