House passes INVEST Act, bankers talk crypto

News. The House passed a broadly bipartisan capital formation package this afternoon. The INVEST Act, led by Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.) and the leadership of the House Financial Services Committee, will head to the Senate after a 302-123 vote.

The bill broadly eases the regulatory requirements and thresholds around capital raises, including crowdfunding. Here’s a section-by-section.

Meanwhile in crypto. Executives repping some of the country’s largest banks sat down for a pair of partisan Senate meetings this afternoon to talk about their priorities in market structure legislation.

Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan, Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser and Wells Fargo CEO Charlie Scharf sat down with Democrats and Republicans. Here’s what we learned:
