Senators bring tax fights to Yellen hearing

The Senate has been brawling over taxes for weeks. And the current standoff – plus, the bigger fight everyone’s expecting next year – was on full display during Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s visit to the Finance Committee this morning.

Yellen, in response, praised the Wyden-Smith tax bill and emphasized President Joe Biden’s pledge not to let taxes go up on people making less than $400,000 when much of the Trump tax cuts expire. Let’s get into it.
