Crypto leaders will crash the Senate today, meeting separately with members of both parties in an effort to resuscitate stalled talks around an overhaul of financial market structure.

Kennedy now bullish(ish) on crypto

News: The Senate Banking Committee’s top Republican detractor of crypto market structure legislation started singing a sunnier tune this week, the latest evidence of a real thaw in bipartisan talks.

Senators met privately Thursday morning to talk about the state of market structure talks, including Sens. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio), Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.).

Also in the room was Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.). A skeptic of market structure talks to date, Kennedy said late Thursday he came away feeling more positive than he has in weeks. “I thought it was an incredibly productive meeting,” Kennedy said. “I learned a lot.”
