McHenry, Waters unveil AI legislation

The top lawmakers on the House Financial Services Committee will release two bipartisan measures this afternoon, setting the stage for congressional action on the use of artificial intelligence in the U.S. banking system.

Financial Services Committee Chair Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) and Ranking Member Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) are each cosponsoring a resolution and bill about AI’s use in the financial system. The effort comes ahead of a Wednesday hearing focused on the “future of finance.”
