The top lawmakers on the House Financial Services Committee published a bipartisan report this morning outlining the possible ramifications of generative artificial intelligence in the financial system.
The report is the first major product of an AI working group convened by Reps. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) back in January. It reads like an early roadmap for how policymakers – at least in the financial services space – would like to shape AI policy in the years to come.
