Judge rules against key anti-money laundering provision

A federal judge in Alabama sided with a small business trade association and ruled a key component of the Corporate Transparency Act unconstitutional.

It’s a blow to the Biden administration and related efforts to improve money laundering controls among smaller business entities, though we expect an appeal.
