Senate Finance talks crypto, FDIC gets a nom

The federal government may be shut down, but Congress made time for the crypto industry this morning. We think advocates probably liked what they heard, too.

The Senate Finance Committee jumped into crypto tax policy, and we heard bipartisan interest in grappling with this area of law. But senior Democrats made clear the politics of the moment will make these priorities tougher to secure in the short term.
