First in Punchbowl News: The Senate effort to get stablecoin legislation through the chamber this week is moving full steam ahead, even as serious problems loom over the proceedings.

Majority Leader John Thune told some GOP Senate offices earlier today that leadership would still hold a vote on the GENIUS Act this week, according to two people familiar with the outreach. That’s despite last-minute objections from a key bloc of Senate Democrats who could threaten the bill’s passage.
