Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kan.) nabbed the House Ways and Means Committee’s Social Security Subcommittee gavel Tuesday morning, as we scooped. As the panel gets ready for the new Congress, other GOP subcommittee chairs will stay the same, according to multiple sources familiar with the moves.

Meanwhile, House Democrats locked in their new financial services and tax committee members bringing in a mix of fresh and familiar faces to the panels. House Republicans populated committees in December, so the ranks are now fully filled.
