Catherine Fuchs is joining Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s staff to serve as his top economic policy adviser, a significant staffing shakeup as the Senate attempts to muscle through a massive crypto package.
Fuchs has served as staff director for Senate Banking Committee Republicans since February. She’s set to replace Chris Toppings, who previously served as senior policy adviser on financial services, tax and trade for Thune. We broke the news first on Punchbowl News texts.
